This large painting channels the Magdalene codes of love and the sacred feminine. In essence it is a work about the passage of time, healing the ‘stories’ of the past, and stepping into the feminine power of strength and gentleness. The elements of fire and water, earth and air coming together to forge a new way of BEing. The background is made up of Farsi numerals representing significant numbers in my life and embroidery representing the woven stories of the past.

There are many layers to this work the background moving in and out as the light catches the semi-gloss paint of the numerals against the matte background. The deep crimson red heats up the space whilst the ripples of the water moves the eyes across the painting.
